Gilbert's Reparation

Director Adam Thomas - USA - 6 min.

A genealogist discovers through her research that a formerly enslaved soldier is buried at a US National Cemetery under the wrong name. When she brings the story to light, she is shocked that nobody cares. She fights for two years to find a way to give a simple reparation to a man who had the dignity of his own name taken from him in life and in death.

Sunday Mornings at the Beach

Directors Tim Reid, Aaron Hose - USA - 10 min.

When heading to the oceanside, one might expect to see surfers, joggers, and sunbathers—but not this. Each Sunday, a quiet yet powerful ritual unfolds as worshippers in Tijuana and San Diego gather on opposite sides of the border wall. Through song, prayer, and fellowship shared across rusty steel bars, an unexpected act of unity, faith, and resistance comes to life.

Citizen

Director Leah Carlisle - USA - 16 min.

Citizen follows a group of Austin women preparing for the 2019 Austin Women's Rally. This short documentary explores the stories and experiences of activists who view the fight for reproductive rights through a wider lens of women's autonomy, gender affirming care, recognizing the effects of racism on a movement, elevating PoC voices and more.

ICED out of America

Director Michael Nigro - USA - 22 min.

For over six months, masked federal officers have been arresting and disappearing immigrants attending their mandatory asylum court dates. Photojournalists in New York City fought to maintain their First Amendment right to observe the chaotic, cruel, and often violent breach of due process occurring daily in NYC's immigration courts.

Tippi & Barb

Director Brad Burleson - USA - 12 min.

In the heart of Arkansas, where tradition runs deep, Tippi, a beloved teacher, and Barb, a prosecuting attorney, build a life together rooted in love and community. But after 13 years of devotion, their quiet happiness shatters with a single phone call on their wedding day—one that costs Tippi her career and exposes the harsh reality of workplace discrimination. As they refuse to be silent, their deeply personal fight for justice ignites a movement, transforming them into champions for LGBTQIA+ rights across the nation and thrusts Tippi into an unexpected political career. Tippi and Barb is a story of resilience, love, and the courage to stand against injustice, proving that even the smallest voices can spark lasting change.

Bibb City

Director Jonathan Cipiti - USA - 15 min.

When de-industrialization hollowed out a once-thriving city, it left behind shuttered factories, fractured neighborhoods, and a community fighting for life. But in the shadows of collapse a few people linked arms and began to meet the needs of the community head on.

Isao

Director Jason Okamoto - USA - 9 min.

The story of an elderly Japanese American man who was born in an internment camp and now searches for his identity and culture.

Anywhere My Canvas

Director Sangsun Choi - USA - 7 min.

Youngsook and Mia are artists with immigrant backgrounds living in America. Their unique life experiences have deeply influenced their artwork in compelling ways. For both, painting is more than a craft - it holds a lasting, personal significance that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
